If you are looking for a mega progressive coffee church this is the place. Apparently, my wife and I were "over-dressed" to worship...I was in a suit and my wife wore a dress, seems normal to me but hey, what do I know? I guess looking respectable is unacceptable at Port City and one of the church faculty let us know it with a RUDE comment! Great way to meet NEW people who haven't been to your church before and make them feel really comfortable. I realize you are deeply concerned with being "all-inclusive" however you might want to practice what you preach and refrain from insulting people simply because they took the time to wear more than beach shorts and flips-flops to worship. Not friendly, not nice, no thanks. I really never appreciated church as a child, looking back I had no idea how good I had it, I so wish I could find one of those churches again. I definitely would not recommend Port City Community church to anyone, especially those that have relocated and are looking for a new church, this isn't it.

Too worried about political correctness and opposed the Word of God. I need an actual church not a feel good movement

Wow, how empty this place is becoming without the Gospel. I remember getting turned away when this "church" was actually a church. Now it's just a feel good jam session with free coffee & bad lighting.

Do you have programs for spanish speaking adults and kids??

Arlene Gallan | Sep 16, 2020
Port City Community Church | Sep 16, 2020

Thank you so much for reaching out to us with your questions! Currently, we have the Sunday service simultaneously interpreted into Spanish and it is available at 7pm each week. We also have sermon notes that are translated into Spanish as well as an online chat during the service. We also have a class called "Starting Point" or "Punta de Partida" which is an 8 week class. This would be what we have for adults. We have the ability to translate or interpret anything that's needed for children. Feel free to call Javi Mendoza at 910 202 8852 or 910 515 5922. You can also contact him using the following link: https://pc3media.wufoo.com/forms/contact-javi-mendoza/, to talk further if you have any questions and would like to learn more.

Will you cancel services to protect the public from the massive contamination risks that large crowd gatherings currently hold for all of us, whether members or attendees or for the entire population?

John Gary Maxwell | Sep 16, 2020

Hi John, Yes we have canceled our in person gatherings for the rest of March at all of our locations (Jacksonville, Leland, New Bern, and Wilmington). We are going to have services but they will be streamed online with no in person audience. If you would like to join us online this weekend, please visit pc3live.org. We will be streaming our services at 9AM, 11AM, and 5PM. If you would like more information about our decision please visit: https://www.pc3wilmington.org/updates We also have a video we posted on our social media channels with more information: https://vimeo.com/397626440 Thank you for your question and for your concern.
