It would seem after a few years, this company has changed a little and for the better. They are now willing to work with you a little more when you're going to be a few days late and their cut-off dates seem to be pushed back a lot from what they were a few years ago. However they now do automatic disconnects and can remotely enable or disable your power. ORIGIONAL 1-STAR REVIEW WARNING:. This company will NOT work with you. I have 3 properties, 2 of which are Progress and I have been with TriCounty the longest (20 years now). When I have an issue, I'm going to be a little late or a little short, Progress/Duke has always been happy to arrange something to keep the pwr on. NOT TRICOUNTY THOUGH. They prefer cutting your power to working with you. They are inhuman - did they just allow you to be 2 days past the cutoff date last month and 6 months later you are now $10 short by mistake? Disconnect. Will they waive the $100 reconnect fee? Nope. If you can avoid these low life's, do so. If not, keep audio recordings of everything and have the electric authority number handy.

Our neighbor and we had similar power issues, and come to find out, our lines come from the dame junction box...but the lines weren't the only issues. The folks from Tri-County stayed until all seems working correctly in both houses . Even took a minute to talk to our 4 grandkids about what they do. Hope I don't need to call for service, but rather glad Tri-County not only does the job, but treats the person, too.

We are experiencing a high call volume at this time. We are not disconnecting power to anyone today or over the weekend. Try calling later today or over the weekend. As a reminder, we suspended PrePay billing last Thursday because of Hurricane Florence. Today, we have resumed billing and you are billed for any Kwh that was used over the last 7 days. Thank you.
We are working on it as fast and as safely as possible. We hope to have power back on in the next few hours.
U can’t call anyone because your phones don’t work . I have a email from Tri county saying I used 546kw . This complaint is over charging me for the wrong amount of power used I want my money back !

They over charge all the time I had prepaid I paid well over 400 a month to keep my lights on so I paid these mofo 450 so I can get a bill and its only 200 a month how is that these mofo are scammers for sure. I took supplies to them today, there was only a few there, I'm sure they were all out repairing lines, there is usually a whole buncha people there.
