After having my car run out of gas trying to make it to a station after getting off of I95 my wife and I had a lovely encounter with sergeant Matthew Morales and a partner name unknown. As I had began walking to the station after making sure my wife and car were safely off the roadway they had finished thier routine looking traffic stop and proceeded to ask my wife if everything was okay. After she had said I had started a walk to the gas station they came and picked me up to help my journey to the station and back to my wife. Coming from Jacksonville Florida it actually floored us that some officers would do such an act of service for the citizens. It seems after reading these reviews online that some people may just be mad because they've had a few too many encoj ters with the law. The officers were nothing short of professional and I just wanted to point that out because far too often you only get to hear about the bad things. Thank you seargant morales and your partner for making sure my wife was safe and then serving us as great police should.

I got pulled over passing through here for “probable cause of speeding” (37 in a 35) by officer J F Norris. When approached he only asked me if I was in a rush and for my license and registration. He refused to answer when asked, why I was pulled and how fast I was going. His only replies were to smerk and look away from me. This man spoke in a very demeaning manor as if I was a nuisance to him. After which when I attempted to call the station, no answer after 6 attempts. Judging by the other reviews, this department needs a rehaul.

We will start off by saying from our experiences Chadbourn police department is very racist and very corrupt. We've made calls for service and no one ever shows up. Well we made our appearance at the police department and no one is there so we drove around town and ends up with all the police officers at the fire department sleeping. This isn't what we pay for is very unprofessional and it needs to be stopped. Not to mention we're under the impression there's an officer that has family and a drug-infested part of town and he actually helps the drug dealers out, under private interview we were told that this officer is a native of Chadbourn. This officer has been spotted in this drug-infested area several times interacting with the drug dealers and it makes us as community citizens feel very uneasy. We also watched an officer making a traffic stop without probable cause. There's a police officer that drives a silver ford explorer, he's never in uniform and he uses a lot of foul language which is very unprofessional. He always has tactical pants on and just a side arm. So as citizens we get the feeling that if he has to deal with anyone at a defense standpoint instead of using a full duty belt which is provided to him, he's going to go straight to his side arm which is a threat to the public. He talks extremely unprofessional toward the people he comes in contact with. We've also came in and sat in on some of their dinner and lunches and we've over her the officers making comments that if they come in contact with anyone running from them they're going to purposely hit them with the police vehicle or with the doors on the police vehicle. This time to speak out about this type of stuff and honestly the whole department needs to be terminated. If anyone comes in contact with this review who can send this to the appropriate authorities to please tell them to act fast upon these complaints. It's unethical, dishonest and it doesn't make the department look very credible. No matter how many leaders you appoint if the problem is in the department you have to get rid of the officers in the department. Please note all of this information is up-to-date and it is current. This was not made up and we also interviewed some of the citizens as well as some of the businesses and they all say the same thing police morals have failed in this town and it needs to be brought to someone's attention. This was not designed to single out any particular race all lives matter even police officers. But in order to make a change there's got to be a movement being started or you going to lose the whole community.

Just called because someone backed into my car at Dollar General resulting in minor damage but no one ever answered the phone.
