Today I saw Dr. Frantz for knee pain. He took the time to talk to me not at me and I respect that. He helped me with the initial pain in my knee which was so appreciated. He is caring and compassionate and I’d recommend him in a heartbeat. 🇨🇦

Dr Guirgues scheduled my surgery for a Monday. All pre-op testing went great. His office canceled it last minute the Friday before. This was a major surgery- I had compression on my spinal cord. I was in a lot of pain and I had numbness. Guirgues said himself I could experience paralysis one day if I didn't get surgery. Multiple family members took off work and traveled to help me. But he canceled to make his schedule for more comfortable. When I asked for an explanation, I was dropped as a patient. When I went to see Dr Dalrymple instead he said, "that guy's got issues" like it was common knowledge and scheduled my surgery immediately.

I would highly recommend not going to any Carolinas Center for Surgery location. They are extremely shady about how they bill for services. I have literally only been once, back in March. And I’ve gotten several bills still months later for charges I don’t even understand anymore. The day of my visit I paid a $40 copay. Than I got billed $105 and they said it was for the office visit. Than a few weeks later an $80 bill for X-rays. Than I started questioning things because in June I got a bill another bill and they said it was for the visit, foot x ray and leg X-ray. Now in august getting yet another bill for another x ray. Let me reiterate, we were only there ONCE. The doctor talked to me for all of maybe 5 mins. I felt like we were sort of dismissed and shoved out the door. We never even saw any of the images they claimed to have taken (my infant was taken from me and due to covid I didn’t go with him so I have no idea what they actually did). I’ve called them multiple times trying to get a detailed receipt from their office to understand why we’re getting billed like this, and they always say they’re confused and will call me back and than they never do. I’m still waiting for a detailed receipt to be emailed to me explaining what I’m paying for. BTW, I’ve paid every single bill because I don’t want to be sent to collections. At this point I feel like they’re just filing random claims separately to my insurance and seeing how much money they can get out of me. I’m so frustrated no one has been giving me any answers or calling me back. If you absolutely need to go here, talk to your insurance about it first. Before you visit, ask them how they’re going to bill you. Be diligent because they are very shady and they will not give you answers or help you after the fact.
