The staff are very nice and friendly. I loved waking up, going out to the patio and seeing the geese and ducks every morning. I loved being entertained by the geese every morning while my parents, niece and I were eating our breakfast. Speaking of breakfast; they have a great continental breakfast area, nice and clean. We are looking forward to staying here again in the future.

When you stay here you will never want to go anywhere else. This is a clean Geotechnical hotel. The pools were great, breakfast was delicious, outside fire pit was a nice bonus. Beds were comfortable and I can't say enough about the staff. From the front desk to the maintenance staff. They go above and beyond.

The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I loved the breakfast and being able to eat in an attached room by the river. There was a male staff person who was very knowledgeable of the area. It is right along the busiest section of Pigeon Forge and, by car, accessible to all the souvenir shops. It took me about 20-30 minutes (there is a lot of traffic) to get to the Gatlinburg attractions and the closest hiking trails. However, I had the poorest nights' sleep ever at a hotel. The old heating unit in the room would kick on every 15 minutes. It sounded like someone with a rolling grocery cart ramming into a wall, followed by the thunderous roar of a portable generator that lasted about 5-10 minutes before it came to an abrupt halt and grumbled a deep, sad sigh. Every 15 minutes, I was awakened by this incessant roar and it happened all night (I stayed three nights and only stayed the other two as I had already committed to pay. And the female desk manager assured me after I asked for a different room that the maintenance would fix the heating unit. She stated that they were aware of the problems with the heating units and were talking about upgrading the heating systems. They did not fix the unit properly and I was not moved to a different room although on the second day, I asked again and mentioned the unit still roared). I had to work the following days and it was awful as I was incredibly tired. I definitely would have given a 4 if it was not for the old heater. But until they update these archaic systems or have better customer service and work on the needs of their customer, I would not recommend.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at Inn on the River! The employees behind the desk at check-in were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and had recently been renovated. We totally felt comfortable in the room. Our room was on the river side which made for a beautiful setting to sit on our balcony talking while watching the river and ducks. Itβs in a great location. I canβt sleep on all mattresses but this one was comfortable. Kudos to the person who chose these. My daughterβs major is in Interior Design and she loved the lobby- she said it was very aesthetically pleasing. πI would stay here again in a heartbeat!
