This is an Italian approved place for us, thus we have been here several times. The place was remodeled and there is 50% more space than 4 years ago. The food is always of high quality. We had the anchovies pizza and it was spectacular. We also had the penne pasta with chorizo in red sauce. Very tasty! The service was exceptional and the ambience with the new space was good. Parking is an issue in this place as there is only 2 regular parkings in front of the restaurant. Location is not the best but the place is worth visiting this we keep coming back.

One of the front runners for best pizza in sac. Sourdough dough, first rate red sauce, and some unique sauce-less options. The rosemary bread and burrata if you do apps. Nice outdoor dining front and back.

The most authentic place to get a traditional Pizza in Sacramento. My wife and I love this place. The crust of the pizza is one of the best I’ve ever had. If you’re in the mood for a pizza made with quality ingredients please check this place out!

The pizza and service were exceptional. We put the vegetarian sausage in place of bacon- delish!

Overrated... went there with a group on. They were very skimpy on toppings. This was a few years back. Need better seating furniture too. I have not been back since.

Masullo makes traditional Italian pizzas. So if you prefer pizza with a heart clogging amount of cheese, enough meat for ten meals and a crust so doughy you can barely swallow it, Masullo is not the place for you. If you instead prefer pizza as made in Italy, it should be your go to place.
