We were excited to try Spankys but we’re seeking a shady spot to eat on this hot early September day. There was a table right at the end, under the trees and there was a nice breeze. The place was only moderately busy for 2 in the afternoon. We were very quickly told that’s for a larger party. There would be no exceptions to this rule. We totally would understand this if the place was packed or if it was dinner hours, but instead of serving a very happy couple who typically tip generously, we left. Thanks for being so welcoming. We ate and enjoyed our meal at Baxters instead.

- best lobster bisque I’ve ever had … there was actually lobster in it! If my cooler hadn’t already been full of chowder from Captain Parker’s, I would’ve taken the bisque home as well. - delicious fried clam strips … ordered a side to go with bisque as an appetizer and we (2 of us) took half home … huge portion for a side and we are eaters - the lobster roll had an incredible amount of lobster on it and it was cooked well … didn’t have much Mayo, which was fine, some celery, no onions … could’ve used some seasoning, salt and pepper maybe, but we didn’t ask … took half home and melted some butter, added a dash of salt … delicious the next day - went on the rainy day that we were heading home and sat outside bc we were with a puppy - will definitely go back next September for exactly the same meal 🍽 🦞 🥣

The Spanky’s Clam Shack & Seaside Saloon is an absolute must visit seafood restaurant when visiting Cape Cod, Massachusetts. In August of 2022, I brought and treated Kat and myself for dinner at Spanky’s Clam during our vacation in Cape Cod. We were graciously welcomed by the restaurant’s staff and our server, Shae treated us with great courtesy and respect, perfectly addressed all of our inquiries regarding the menu, and did a superb job on taking our orders. Our meals were absolutely well cooked and my wife and I loved our entrees extensive serving size. I had ordered Spanky’s fried seafood combo while my wife ordered the broiled seafood combo. While my wife enjoyed my seafood combo a bit more, we both found our respective meals to be spectacularly seasoned and superbly delicious!!! Everything about it was absolutely perfect!!! In addition to our great meal and service, my wife and I loved the nearby scenic views of the Hyannis Inner Harbor and the Lewis Bay, and enjoyed the cool evening breeze emanating from the bay. If you enjoy seafood and wonderful seaside views, then definitely take the time to visit and dine at the Spanky’s Clam Shack & Seaside Saloon!!!
