There is more here than I had expected. Ramps are all still in decent shape. One problem is the light above the park does not come on with the rest of the park lighting.

Park is absolutely terrible. If you wanna skate, Marion is not the place to do it. Massive crack right under the 4 stair they have, the ground these black metal ramps are on is rough and cracked all over, and the park has been tried to get removed by the city already. No water fountain any where near it, bathrooms located all the way at the baseball fields which are usually locked anyways, and nobody is ever there. The city has tried to remove the skatepark already just to turn it into a dog park and the only thing that stopped that was a good and well signed petition. In fact, do NOT even think about moving to Marion at all. The town is made and set up for retirement. No business opportunities, they have a total of 3 restaurants in this city, two of them being fast food (McDonalds and Dairy Queen) they wouldn’t even let a Walmart in a few years ago because they want to keep the place locked and away from development. Prices are high, people suck. The school here is in poverty and there are almost no jobs here, unless you would actually like to work at a McDonald’s or Dairy Queen, then this place is for you. No amenities, no business opportunities, unwelcoming people, and massive poverty. The only people that should be here is the people that grew up as football or baseball players in school and peaked in high school as a quarterback or a cheerleader and the highest point of their life was in high school, which is completely sad. Avoid this place at all costs. -1

Yes, do not come here. They could make a better effort but they don’t.
