It is an older state park without many upgrades. The cabin we stayed in was nice and the campground looked quiet and shady, but the road leading to it was terrible.

We took grandchildren tent camping. It was their first time. We had the time of our lives. We got washed out by the rain and it was still awesome.

My wife and I were devoured by bedbugs in cabin #4 last weekend. Haven't gotten a response from management yet...

There are handicap accessible cabins. From the cabins there is bank fishing that is not to far of a walk down a path. There is a pier that is farther away. The pier would definately be a little more of a challenge. You could also fish from the bank at and near the main office where there is parking.
I think it's best to contact them directly for your questions

Im not sure off the top of my head but you can go to southcarolinaparks.com and pull up Barnwell state park and it will give you the prices for reservations and the number to call. Sorry, I hope it helps.
There were people swimming when i was there last week Not sure if it was ok or not, but there you have it.
I've not stayed in a cabin as i used to live a few miles from the park.
We visit every year in October. Cost including state & local taxes is 75 to 80 dollars depending on the cabin rented. It's the best kept secret in SC. Eddie and his staff of Rangers are simply outstanding!
Call the park. They're glad to help.
