Quickest dmv in tricounty area. Little bit of a drive but beats standing in line for hours in crowded dmv.

Your website says you accept walk in road tests till 130 pm I was there at 1215 with another motorcycle rider who needed to take the road test. When we ask about it after a hour waiting you lie and say you called when we were standing right there the whole time but it was still only 120 pm when we asked and then you said its mandatory to have an appointment after 1130 am when the dmv website for your branch says walk in road tests accepted till 130 pm. Literally you can't call because no one answers the phone so the only information is that on the website. Either change it or start doing what your supposed too.

If my permit is expired can I try for my license I’ve had a permit for about 1 year and haven’t never tried for license. Do I have to take the permit test again or can I go for my license?

Yes, they are operating on appointment only. They will accept walk-ups, but the appointments are their priority and the walk-ups will only be let through when there is a clerk available and nobody present on site with a scheduled appointment. No wait time estimates will be given for walk-ups however.
PS: That is what I was told Monday when I showed up without an appointment and I was still able to get my ID in under 30 minutes.

Whatever car you are driving for the test has to have state minimum liability insurance. You yourself do not have to have personal insurance.
