As a New Customer, I was more then pleased with this service call. The Technician (James) was knowledgable, experienced and efficient.

This was the second year using them and there was an issue with one of the zone. So waited 1 month for them to come back because was busy. They came and couldn’t fix the problem and say we stayed 1 hr and have to go to next job and screw up the rest of the zone. So now they didn’t fix it but made it worse. Suppose to fix 1 zone but combined 3 zones to 1. I called their office and spoke to Alicia wanting an explanation and she didn’t sound to polite. Not too professional from her and the technician. If someone can get back to me from the office would be nice. Thank you.

Bill, Michael and their crew made the process of installing an irrigation system in established gardens so easy. They were reliable, attentive to my questions and concerns and spent a great deal of time teaching me how to use my new smart system. I love the system they installed. My yard has never looked better and the system runs without much attention on my part as Michael set it up to be efficient and effective. I was referred to suburban by a friend who used this company years ago and have already passed their name on to friends who are interested. Great people and good product!

Bill, Michael and Scott were all a pleasure to work with! Only wish I had done this years ago and not spent so many hours with a watering hose in my hand!

Do lawn mowers frequently break the sprinklers?

NO!! Since plastics took over the industry in the 70’s, with spring-loaded nozzles, the problems with lawn mowers are essentially nonexistent.

Is there a backlog for installations?

Suburban Lawn Sprinkler Co. | Sep 16, 2021

It depends on the time of year. The Spring is the busiest time and it is always better to sign up early (even in the winter). We begin our installations at the end of April and beginning of May. Generally we can install Spring contracts within 4-6 weeks. After June, our schedule lightens up and the backlog is usually 3-4 weeks.

How long does installation take?

Most residential jobs can be completed in one day (two at the most). Before the “in-ground” work is done, a few hours are needed for inside plumbing.

Will installation destroy my lawn?

We use the most State-of-the-Art equipment that tunnels pipe underground without causing much damage to the lawn surface. Should there be many rocks and/or roots, the process is not as neat. Generally, all lawns grow back within 7-10 days.

How long is spring service/fall service?

Spring service can last anywhere between 30 minutes to one hour depending on repairs. Fall service can last anywhere between 20 and 40 minutes depending on the size of the system.

Do I need to be home for service?

If you are able to give us access to the inside water and timer without anyone being home then no, you do not need to be home.

What is an average cost to install for an average yard?

Gary, I want to answer the the question as best I can but there are really way too many variables. I would say $2000-$4000 as a VERY general idea. However there are many things such as water supply and plumbing difficulties that drastically change the quote. Those are variables that have nothing to do with actual lawn but can come into play. Have us come by and take a look and we can much more precise. Give us a call or an email and we can set up a day and time. Thanks
