I use to take my three children when they was smaller. They loved it. I would love to take my grand children here also. It was so educational for them.

It was a lovely evening! We stop by the natural preserve center with the children and had so much fun. It’s perfect for any age. At the end the place manager had above talk about the importance of conserving and maintaining the green , preserving natural places for the animals to live. 👌😍

I went there on a field trip with Argo Community High School. We walked around to see the different parts of the forest and we talked about populations living in the community of the forest. Our tour guide was very nice and friendly. I might go there to volunteer when it's a bit colder.

Are you sure they are honeybees and not wasps? Please compare the insect you have to a picture from the internet. If you are sure they are honeybees, contact the Cook Dupage beekeepers Association. The information is on the internet. Individual beekeepers will be listed according to zip code. Hope this helps!
The original school house was built in 1886 and moved twice, ending up at the current site in 1952. In 1955, it was formally converted from a school to a nature center. You can read more history and other information on our website: https://fpdcc.com/places/locations/little-red-schoolhouse-nature-center/
No, but there are bike trails near enough if you search around.
There are a lot of animals to see, trails to explore, there is also some great views and it's free. I recently went here with a friend and her little brother, (he is two) and we had a great time. Paths are easy to follow. Great place for pictures as well.
Sadly no but you may see some random homeless sitting in one of the seats so just don't worry about him
Joe's pond 1/4 mile north.park in the gravel beside the pond right off 104th🌋
Yes. It is stroller friendly for the main schoolhouse and exhibits. However, the paths for a quick hike are not paved, but i have seen some strollers being used for the trails. It is definitely kid friendly and a good place for a peaceful nature walk. Have fun!

Call the Willowbrook Wildlife Center in Glen Ellyn. They take injured wildlife.
This website is helpful for finding answers to common wildlife issues and connecting with licensed wildlife rehabilitators: https://www.wildlifeillinois.org/get-help/help-injured-or-orphaned-wildlife/. Little Red Schoolhouse Nature Center does not accept wildlife and we do not have a rehabilitation facility.
