Beautiful quiet hiking and fishing area perfect hike for younger kids as it's not that far and you still get the feeling of accomplishment for doing the whole thing

Gorgeous pond with a walking trail around the perimeter with many really nice fishing spots.

Not busy in the winter. Need equipment for walking, or just watch where you step, icy everywhere. Check with the office before you venture out into the lake, other wise it maybe your last walk.

Does anyone know if the restrooms are currently open at Pelton pond? Visited January 2nd and was surprised to see they were closed, not sure why if the Park is open.

I believe they are closed now due to Covid. They weren't open when I went 2 weeks ago either.

Not at pelton pond but across the road is a huge lake. I think you have to register with the park office.
