Terrible experience with the sales enquiry process. Do not give them any personal information unless you have a signed agreement in place.

The worst car experience ever! I was able to get financing approved and being 2 1/2 hours away has set up delivery. The employees told me that it was set to be delivered. Then day after day nothing happened. For a week and a half I constantly tried to make contact with no replies. Then after all the time had passed the sales manager was able to speak just to say it could not be delivered because it was a used car. I was not told that by the 2 previous employees that said it was good 2 go and was even holding the car for me. This dealership is to not ti be trusted, especially if you are not local. They say they want your business, that’s a joke!!!!!!

The one star is for the buying experience. But if I could give the service department zero stars, I would. We purchased a car from Westgate Ram Wake Forest last November. From the date of purchase it was 3 WEEKS until we were actually able to bring the car home. The service department claimed supply issues were to blame for the lengthy wait time. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on that one. However, during those 3 weeks, there was minimal communication - we had to call them if we wanted any update on how the parts situation was progressing. The only compensation offered to us for the inconvenience was a tank of gas (this was pre gas price hike, so it was about a $30 check). Fine. However, when we finally DID get the car in our possession, it WREAKED of cigarette smoke (NOT present when we test drove or purchased the vehicle). They said there was nothing they would do about it. Over $200 of cleaning later, the smell was finally mostly gone. A few months later, we take it in for an oil change because the car came with a "Westgate for life" package for oil change. Oil change is free - but then they rotate the tire and charge ~$30 for that so that they still make a profit. Would have been nice if they had mentioned that during the sale. There was also a squeak in the brakes we wanted checked, they said they did...but the next day the squeak returned and they refused to answer any calls regarding a recheck (they charged us to check it, of course). But wait - there's more! Now, the car shook if you got it above 65 mph. And, you guessed it - the service department won't take responsibility for it. We take it elsewhere and pay to get the tire balanced. Car runs great.....until we try another oil change there. We ask them not to touch the tires. But they refuse to do the oil change if we won't let them rotate the tire. THIRD STRIKE. Shaking has returned and we call the next morning to ask them to balance it. "Well, we don't balance them when we rotate them...that will be an extra charge." Oh, and when they returned the car from the oil change, it wreaked of gasoline. I get it - it's a service department...but we have taken cars to MANY other service departments and they NEVER come back smelling as bad at taking it to westgate. We had to air it out all afternoon before the smell dissipated. So, no, we won't be back to have them balanced. What an awful place. Long story short - if you buy a car there, great. But DON'T take it back to be serviced. You'll regret it.

I'm going to start by saying my purchase experience was pretty good. My wife and I got a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica with features that we wanted. The wait to take possession was almost 3 weeks, due to a loose wire in the entertainment system and another electronic issue which were fixed at the dealer. My real issue is with the service department. The staff seems competent enough and are personable, however if you get the Westgate for Life service contract, you would do much better to disregard the "free" oil changes and required tire rotations and go somewhere else. We took our van there twice, and were informed that the oil changes/scheduled service is only complementary with purchase of a tire rotation, which it turns out doesn't include balancing of the tires as well. When we retrieved the van both times, there was noticeable vibration and roughness from the front end at highway speeds. Furthermore, while there has never been a noticeable odor in our vehicle after service at other shops, each time we have gotten it from Westgate after service it smelled like cigarettes or gasoline. I understand that a dealer service department's goal is to increase sales just like any other component, but going out of your way to cause problems by requiring and add-ons to "complimentary" oil changes is just offensive.
