Sun is an angel sent from the universe to help me get my confidence back in regards to my locs. Looking forward to my next appt it was such a pleasure and the other ladies and loc technicians were pleasant to be around as well

I wanted to love this place. However ,my time was wasted.I had a appointment with zalleah at 12:00pm . I arrived with no one greeting me .I sat myself in the front ..waited ten minutes in the receptionist area until I was greeted .The owner’s sister greeted me in to come sit in the back .After ,another ten minutes I met zalleah .I took off my head wrap so that she could see my hair .My hair was 7 inches long after being washed at home .I asked her could she actually complete starter locs on my hair.. she stated yes .There was another client that she booked around my time slot .Me and the other client went through the loc lecture which I loved. After that she started the other client’s hair.I drives back to my house to eat and came back to kill time ,but zalleah was not finished with the client’s hair .I was still excited to get my hair done so I waited patiently this was around 3:40pm .The client left around 5 pm not satisfied with her hair . The client asked me what did I think . Honestly ,if I were a stylist I would think you would have to cut off the relaxed part that was brittle .The client in my opinion left looking like she had Cellie braids from the movie color purple . Finally , my turn ! every stylist has left the shop so it’s me and zalleah left in the building on a Saturday . She began going through my hair and pouring castor oil on my scalp to the point where the oil was dripping off my head and running down my neck .I asked her how long has she been doing locs because the vibe was off.She told me she was a accountant before Covid hit and she was hired as a apprentice during Covid because she needed a job .After 10 minutes of oiling my scalp I told her “ I have a feeling you can’t do my hair “.Zalleah said “I am sorry I wanted to tell you earlier “ . I was so upset because my time was wasted .Zalleah asked me if I wanted box braids . I told her I came here for starter locs not receive box braids . She had the nerve to try to walked me down the block to a African braiding salon. She told me she would not charge me for the loc lecture due to wasting my time . She continuously said sorry .Not only did she waste my time ,but she gave me another reason why I do not trust stylist period . I would assume if the owner were there things would have been different . Honesty goes a long way and I am understanding person . I came to this business looking to start a loc journey with a stylist I can trust ,but I only left with free castor oil on my scalp .I honestly felt like the other stylist wanted to warn me before leaving . Always trust your intuition!

My comments are definitely overdue. I booked an appointment with Loc Art Hair Studio several weeks ago. My gut feeling pulled me to this shop. After a few hours of searching, I located Loc Art Hair Studio. Deciding to visit this shop was the best decision ever! I walked in and there was a great vibe in the shop. I received a hair consultant with Eboni where I learned things about locks no one has ever shared with me before. She explained to me how her mother took the time to study hair and spread the wisdom for proper hair care. She showed me the difference between proper and improper hair care. Eboni was also very professional and detailed with my hair. I sat down and the maintenance was completed in a very decent timeframe. Anyone seeking to get their locs started or maintained should definitely come here. By far the most superb hair experience ever!

I just love Loc Art. Selena is very unique at her craft. I had been loc'd for 17 years. My hair is completely thin and long. From years of palm rolling and interlocking. That's damaging to my locs after 17 years. I recommend to everyone go get knowledge from Loc Art it's experience that will change your loc life. Trust and Believe!!

They don't interlock. But I do recommend you do a consultation because they have the best technique. I no longer have breakage from 3 years of interlocking. My locs are nice and healthy. Great atmosphere and excellent customer service.
Not sure but everybody at this salon is very educated about the healthy/ wellness and beauty of your hair. The only thing I can say for sure is that you leave looking and feeling like a million bucks. Great customer service.
Yes. Its in the same plaza as the Atrium on memorial drive. Its called Loc Art.
