Questions & Answers

Can you be baptized here, if not a member?

We believe and practice believers’ baptism. If you make a public profession of faith in Christ alone for your salvation we would love to participate in your water baptism. We prefer to develop relationship when possible, and would love to have you as a guest in our services.

Does this church believe in the power of the Holy spirit?

Thanks Chad for asking! Yes we beileibe that God is the same yeasterday, today, and forever. The same power that rose Jesus from the dead, lives in us. One of my favorite scriptures: Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; His power is evident in our lives, most often when he empowers us to live Godly lives, in the face of hardships, trials, and sufferings. Sometimes His power manifests in supernatural and spectacular ways; sometimes in quiet stillness while alone with him in a cave. If you are in our area please pay us a visit, or find us on Facebook, we stream live every Sunday at 10:00 AM. Our full archive of teaching, and more than you want to know about us can be found at Whistlingpines.org.
