This Preserve has no restrooms! It is miles away from public facilities! I've been hiking out here for years and the preserve continues to decline. St. Lucie County needs to spend some money and resources here to make this an attractive place for people. The horses can just do their business on the trails but it is not easy for people. It's a shame because I'm sure this large property is worth millions of dollars and I just can't believe the county does so little to maintain this place. Also, there were no maps. I found a trail post that someone had turned around and fortunately I was able to pull up a map from the website to turn it back to the correct position! I will no longer hike there. I've spoken in the past with someone at the County and they told me then they were trying to hire a new manager for the site. Well, if they have a manager, they need to tell the county to put some restrooms out there even if it is just port-o-potties! I feel sorry for the women and girls who are out there and have to go with no facilities! It is not easy for us men either. I'm retired and it is not as easy for me as it was when I was younger to just wing it!

There is a # you can call on one of the boards as you enter the camping area. All the way in to the back.

Can you bring your dogs here?
