Went kayaking and it was very pleasant. The water was very calm and it was a nice little trip around the lake. Didn't plan on going fishing but the kids saw a guy on the dock fishing and wanted to throw their lines in the water for fun. Didn't bring bait and the very nice guy on the dock saw they were using lunch meat for bait and gave them a worm. Nice area. Nice people.

This is a beautiful place! Quiet, peaceful and well kept, except for the trails. They need to address how heavily muddy their trails are, so that people can hike them with their families.

Spring
From the DNR website: Fishing In the late 1970s, a 15-acre lake was developed to provide park visitors additional recreational opportunities and a scenic backdrop. Anglers can fish for largemouth bass, bluegill and catfish. The lake also is stocked in the spring and fall for trout season. While a boat launch is located on the lake, only trolling motors may be used.
There is a small fee. There are no electric hook ups or showers, however there are pit toilets, potable water to fill your fresh water tank and a dump station.
Dogs are not allowed on hiking trails, however there are acres and acres for you and your furry friend to enjoy together.
Tent lots available yes camp fires but I'm not sure how much it costs
