Fall Creek Waterfall

One of the most beautiful trails in NC I've hiked so far! Easy to access with incredible views of waterfalls and river. Great for families and children of all ages.

It's a beautiful little waterfall, less than ¼ mile from the parking area. The trail continues in an easy hike to Haw River, and follows that for a good distance.

A sizable waterfall for the area, it's a short, easy walk from the parking area, and not frequently crowded in my experience (though I seldom go on weekends). It's nit the most spectacular waterfall in the state, but it is quite pleasant, access is well maintained, and the the area immediately around it is clean. The trail comes down along the creek, so you can access the falls from the top first, and then walk down some stairs to view from below.

Nice waterfall and nice creek that flies from waterfall. Beautiful in fall especially around 4 pm as the Sun is setting. Good trail.
