Doctors are fantastic but the office is so disorganized. They bill out of Gainsville, so when your provider and your insurance refer you to this Lecanto office, the billing doesn't match up and insurance payments come back rejected. We were so far into having my wife's knee worked on that we finally decided to make a partial payment. After a week of phone calls and finally straightening things out, turns out that they owe us money in return. Beware of their insurance billing fraud.

Everyone is very nice and professional. The surgeon is very competent. He does his surgeries at seven rivers. Has his own unit dedicated just for him and couple other surgeons. He does several other patients in one day so recovery is done as a group. (Private rooms) but meals and PT is done as a group. Lots of support. Can't say enough good. I would recommend anyone needing a new joint or repair to dr Petrella and his team. My mother had her knee done and my aunt had her shoulder done. 👍
Highly recommend Dr Petrella. He did a full hip replacement at Seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal River. They had the whole 3rd floor for safety during the height of COVID, where everyone was tested before moving forward. The hospital staff were very caring. Rehab was all inclusive to all patients on the floor. We met as a group for rehab home instructions!
Yes They also accept Humana, my insurance. Great bunch of Trump-loving Republicans, too.

He doesn't cut the muscles he moves them over. I had both my knees done. I would have him doing it again if I hadn't had them done on Jan 15th. I am on my own and free from pain.
