Since we moved in last year we have had two power outages. On both occasions Glades responded to our outage within an hour and resolved the problem. On this date we got a really bad storm that took out or power, shortly after contacting Glades one of their technicians was at our house working on the issue under heavy storm. I would like to give a big thank you to that gentleman for his dedication to his job.

I called yesterday afternoon about a downed line running across my yard. Here we are 24 hours later and it's still down. No one has contacted me.

I see the poor reviews and I can understand. But I have to say Anna was an absolute superstar! Outstanding customer service skills was able to listen and take care of our issue. Not try to pass the buck.

For many years, Glades Electric has caused lots of problems with my appliances due to the low and high power surges. A few months ago, I had 3 major appliances go out all at the same time. This was around June, we had a lot of lightning and then my overhead range hood went out, our pool pump and air conditioner went out, all within a few days of one another. Of course, they denied that it had anything to do with them or their surge protecting product that was removed from my meter and never replaced. It's been like this for over 34 years, I have no idea why I thought it would change. Their electric service sucks out there where I live. Power goes out all the time, you call to complain and they try to make you feel bad because of course you are the only one calling to complain about it. Well, everyone else is tired of calling so they don't call. Terrible service, terrible company, they don't care about anything but putting money in their pockets.

The lineman have to wait until the storm is over safe for them to work in the buckets and climb. Assess damage and move debris . Then go from there. Married to a lineman.
It depends upon the status of the meter. For a new or inactive meter, the connect fee is $75. For an active meter that will be transferred to a different member, the connect fee is $35.
