An excellent tour led by a very experienced (worked there since 1990) and knowlegable representative of the museum. We learned so much about the buildings, property, and the works of Chester including the complex processes involved in marble and bronze sculpting. We truly enjoyed the experience. It is an impressive property.

We enjoyed a terrific guided tour of Chesterwood. Terry was incredibly knowledgeable about the artist, the times in which he lived and worked, and the property at Chesterwood. Our time was very well spent at this museum learning about the work of Daniel Chester French's many works including the Lincoln Monument in Washington DC and the fountain at Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C. We enjoyed our tour a great deal and learned a lot.

This truly is a beautiful and serene historical home and studio to visit. It is a well-preserved Homestead of Daniel Chester French who was the sculptor best know for the Lincoln Memorial and The Minute Man. We took the guided tour and you learn such intricate details that might be overlooked on your own. Worthy of a stop if you enjoy history.

Yes, although certain areas will require assistance to access
Not sure. Just call the office. Wonderful folks and guides there!
This season Chesterwood is closing on Columbus Day weekend. We were unable to open our admissions building so our staff is working outside and it will get too cold in late October.
