Its been a while since I've visited an FYE, I stopped in last week and was pleasantly surprised by the amount and diversity of merchandise available so I returned today with a family member to show off the store and spend some time browsing. It was a lot of fun, you'll find something for just about every major anime fandom right now and there are a wide range of constant sales. You may have noticed that based on the one-star this is going to take a turn. There was a sale on blind-box figures and I was about to purchase one before my relative pointed out it had clearly been tampered with and taped shut again. A closer inspection revealed it had been fully opened and the packaging ripped up. I can't say for certain that this was the employees doing, but we noticed it on many of the blind-boxes in the store, so either they are aware or not aware enough of someone doing this. I selected two that appeared to be intact as they were part of the sale. At the register however, I was told they were not included in the sale despite being in a box of several placed directly under a sign that stated, "buy one get one half off: blind boxes and foils". I was told it wasn't a blind-box (it's a HunterXHunter figure in a concealed box that you need to open with six possible figure options.... And ultimately paid full price for both. It also took a very long time to get an employee's attention to check out at all. As I was being rung up the employee asked for my phone number, which I provided, and he said "Oh, I can get you a discount". He asked for an ID after asking how my name was spelled (I assumed because it's unusual and he was an older gentleman) and informed me I'd been signed up a for a discount program. The program was not explained at all and I felt extremely uncomfortable and pressured to go through with everything since it was already put in and rung up. I felt as though I was clearly being told, not asked. He stated after my purchase was made that it would cost money going forward and I could cancel at any time, including right away. Immediately after exiting the store I called to cancel and was told I cannot cancel right away as the registration hasn't processed yet. I had a great experience the previous time I was in the store but I can't say I'll ever be going back after this. Some really shady dealings between the misleading signs (or not honoring promotions), opened boxes, and deceptive practices to sign people up for things. I found out after the fact on my receipt that he took my middle name and birthday without my consent to put into the system. Super disappointed because they do have a good selection of items, but I would avoid at all costs and go across the way to Hot Topic or Spencer's.

Do not shop here !!!! And if you do , don’t get thier so called “free” military membership!! We have been charged $12 since January 2022 when we were told it was a one time fee then it was free for military ! Bull!!! When I called today in July 2022 they refused to give me my full money back but to give me $31 ….. excuse me ?! Cashiers obviously don’t know thier job, it’s apparently $6.99 a month for military, so even then I was still being overcharged and there was no compensation back for that either. What a joke.

Yes they buy & sell used CD & DVD. Sorry I don't know what they offer.
