What a great experience. From start to finish we were having laughs and enjoying the ride out to catch our limit of stripped bass and Sea bass. The capt and crew were great hosts and know these waters like the backs of their hands. We will definitely be back next season.

Captain Joe and his first mate Coral were exceptional. Went out on Wednesday afternoon 7/20/22 they got us on the fish right away and kept us on them the whole trip. Even my 9 year old nephew new to salt water fishing pulled in a huge Striper and several other fish during the 4 hour trip. Thanks again, next time in Newport I would love to do it again.

Amazing day from start to finish! At the dock at 7:30am, catching fish by 8am and it never stopped. Joe and Coral did a great job coaching three 13 boys on all the ins and outs of the boat, the fish we were going to catch and how to properly hook and reel in a fish. Using a couple different fishing techniques we caught striped bass (largest was 40"), sea bass, fluke and the finale was a great white shark. Yup, one of the boys hooked an actual GREAT WHITE! Joe took over for him and was able to bring it to the surface for everyone to see. It was a trip of a lifetime and a morning these boys won't soon forget. Best part for a mom? Three tired boys! What an incredible day!

Joe and Coral are amazing at what they do and really care about making it a great experience for everyone on board! We caught big striped bass, some black sea bass and scup (late June). Fishing is hard work but they are very encouraging and always able to help if you need it! Coral participates in a conservation tagging program to track fish and we got to register and name one. The fish was expertly filleted by Joe when we got back and delicious! Definitely worth the trip!

Questions & Answers

How much does it cost?

For a four hour fishing first time experience for my teenage kids it was exceptionally reasonably priced. Captain Joe went above and beyond to ensure my family had an amazing fishing experience. Captain Joe shared his historical knowledge of all that can be seen on shore from the boat. Captain Joe educated us on the tides, fishing rods, fish types and proper fishing, hooking a stealing in techniques. We had a blast; a memorable family moment to last a long time and for a very reasonable price - Well worth it 😁

I will fish on the Sara Star this Sunday. Can I bring my own rod and reel?

I am not sure if you can bring your own rod and real but I’d highly doubt you would need it; the Sara Stars has an ample amount available for the best fishing that day. Captain Joe spends a bit of time at the dock filleting the fish caught and preps them for you to take home; mom very much appreciated that. Thank Captain Joe 👍
