Great Adirondack campground! Many hiking trails in the campground. Many of the trails lead to ponds. I believe one trail lead to Pharaoh Mountain. Fishing in the ponds is very good. Main pond has sunfish, perch, bass, and pike. There are also many trout ponds that you can access through hiking trails nearby. Many nice camping spots in the campgrounds as well.

We stayed for 10 days and had a blast. It was so nice to be able to access a substantial body of water to explore that was calm enough to take our 7 year old out in her kayak. The fishing was superb and quick access to all the hiking trails was great. Camp staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was great tree cover, which was something we were looking for after staying at Schroon Manor last year which had a lot of open grassy areas. We had site 48 which would be great for a small tent maybe 2 but it sits on a hill that has quite a pitch that is difficult to navigate. The site itself has a drop off on one side, and a giant rock that takes up most the site. The site also has a lot of tree roots which makes it hard to find a good spot to anchor a larger tent. The site does have a trail directly to the bathroom-another camper told me this but I wasn’t able to find it. The bathrooms are adequately cleaned & maintained. Shower stall #1 on the women’s side in building 6 is the best.

Very nice, clean campground with hot showers. Beautiful pond for canoeing/kayaking.

stayed at remote site R09 over July 4th weekend: amazing views, loons and lots of other birds around, good largemouth fishing although nothing bigger than 2lbs. A few trails into Pharaoh Lake Wilderness start right from the campground. No cell phone service within 7 mile radius which for me was a good thing.

Right now you can go into the campground for free. There's plenty of parking there. There's also other trailhead parking for easier access to certain ponds and lakes so check your maps. Enjoy my friend..... It's so beautiful and peaceful!!!
You'll have to check the State website About Pets and costs . I believe they are allowed in state campsites and . There are no sewer connections . You'll be lucky to find room in one of these campsites for a 35 foot trailer. The campgrounds is about 5 to 6 -7 Mi away from Ticonderoga.
No their is no cell service at Putnam Pond campground in NY
