I’m honestly shocked that this place has ANY bad reviews. They FULLY vet (including spay/neuter) with the cost of adoption, try to give as best of a background as possible, and almost always include if the dog is good with kids, cats, dogs, etc... unless they don’t know which they will admit. I stand behind Molly 100%. She is a great lady & loves her dogs. Obviously some of these people don’t know what a rescue is. The dog is RESCUED & 9/10 times, they need to learn to trust and love again. Just like a human being who has been through trauma. They also have puppies many times, so if helping an older dog isn’t your thing & you’re willing to potty train and take the time to teach a puppy, perhaps check out that option. I have gotten two dogs from PWR and both have been healthy. Unlike some shelters *cough* barely used pets in Urbana *cough* who adopt out dogs with kennel cough.

Great rescue.... Caring people.... Found a dog there.... We fostered him while they looked for his owner... Gave us time to see if he was a good fit work out other dogs. They gave us everything we needed to foster him and when we adopted him they got him neutered and chipped. Love them!!!!
