I had a blepharoplasty over a year ago and I was very happy with the outcome. Dr Farahmand explains everything and takes time to listen to any questions or concerns you may have. The surgery nurse was amazing and helped me calm down as I have had anxiety for years. She also was amazing! I would definitely recommend Dr Farahmand!

Dr. Farahmand.’s work is Amazing! I have searched for 10 years for the right plastic surgeon, from Miami to Fort Lauderdale to Naples and Ft. Myers. I had almost given up when I found Dr. Farahmand. I had a facelift and was back to work 2 weeks later. I am currently 60 yers old but look and feel SO much younger now. She surpassed my expectations and I could not be Happier! I finally found the right female plastic surgeon for me. Whats even better.. shes right here in Fort Myers and less than 20 min away. I have always wanted breast augmentation and had questions about saline breast implants and silicone breast implants. Dr Farahmand and staff were very helpful and kind in helping me make the right decision for me. I wasnt pushed for going to big or too small. I couldnt be happier 😍 I am recommending Dr Farahmand as my plastic surgeon for life. Quality of work, staff, office - being treated as family - all of my friends will here from me. Shes a gifted plastic surgeon. Thank you.

I just had surgery and I am extremely pleased with my results Dr Farahmand did an excellent job I’m very happy with my outcome. Her office staff along with her are extremely professional I felt comfortable from the first visit. Her office is amazingly clean. I was worried when picking a doctor how low will my incision be and how will my belly button look and I couldn’t be happier with both. I would recommend her and her staff anytime. Very nice doctor and very nice office. I knew I picked the right doctor for me. Thank you Dr Farahmand and office for being so wonderful.

Patients stay at home for a few days. If they work a desk job, they would be able to return to work (but not drive) after they have stopped taking pain medication which would be after a few days. If they are required to do a lot of walking, standing or physical activity, they would need to wait longer to return to work. In those cases, Dr. Farahmand would need to review the exact physical requirements of their job to make the determination of when it would be safe for them to return to work.
Some milk may be able to reach the ducts, but probably not enough to fully breast feed.
Yes, breast lifts are often performed with a breast implant if the patient is requesting more fullness of her breasts. But, if a patient is just wanting to reshape the breast without adding fullness, an implant would not be necessary.
The surgeon removes excess skin from the breast through an incision around the areola, vertical from the areola to the breast crease, and horizontally in the breast crease in order to move the nipple/areola to a higher position and to produce a more pleasing shape to the breast. In mild cases, less incisions would need to be made.
Generally, if your nipples are pointing down to the floor or are low on your breast or below your breast crease, you may be a candidate for breast lifting.
If you are not having any problems with your implants, you do not need to change them. For silicone implants, the FDA recommends that women have an MRI performed 3 years after the surgery and then every 2 years after that to check for leaks. The average time of implant leaks is 10-15 years. Remember, it takes a high and a low to make an average. So, as long as those MRI’s are being read as normal, there is no indication to change the implants. With saline implants, MRI’s are not necessary as the diagnosis of a leak is made by looking in the mirror. A deflated saline implant will look deflated.
The shell of saline implants is made of silicone
These are highly cohesive silicone gel implants.
Every patient’s aesthetic tastes and goals are very individual. Patients are offered pre-operative sizing which allows them to “try on” implants inside a bra to preview how different sizes will compliment their figures. Patients are also encouraged to bring in a clinical “wish” photo to help communicate their goals.
Generally, patient’s stay home for the first week after surgery. During the second week, they still have drains in, so they would stay home if their job involved a lot of walking or standing or physical activity. If they work a desk job, it is possible for them to work, but they might not be ready to drive. We do not allow any purposeful exercise until patients are 6 weeks out from their surgery.
An abdominoplasty scar is located in almost the same position as a C-section scar but extends further from hip to hip. It is positioned so it can be hidden in bathing suits or underwear. There is also a scar around the belly button, bu I try to position this scar on the inner part of the belly button so it is less noticeable
Stretch marks that are located between the belly button and pubic area are removed with abdominoplasty.
An abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure where skin and fat from the lower portion of the abdomen is removed and the skin on the upper part of the abdomen is tightened and the abdominal muscles also tightened. This produces a tighter appearance of the abdominal skin with less overhang.
Facelifting can be combined with brow lifting, eyelid surgery, botox and filler injections, and fat transfers to the face.
This varies from patient to patient
Face-lifting mainly lifts jowls and tightens skin on the neck. Botox is mainly used around the eyes and forehead and will still be needed after face-lifting. Fillers are mainly used to improve deep, etched-in lines around the mouth, Nasolabial folds, and marionette lines and will still be needed for those areas. Many patients choose to do both, face-lifting and injectables as these treat different problems.
No, just as the face ages every year, the aging process continues year after year even after face-lifting. However, the improvements caused by face-lifting can be seen 7-10 years after face-lifting.
I perform face-lifting as an outpatient procedure
“twilight sedation” or general anesthesia
Plan on doing face-lifting at the weight you plan on maintaining. Stop smoking and exposure to second-hand smoke for 2 months before the surgery. If cleared by your primary doctor, cardiologist, neurologist, or vascular surgeon, stop all blood thinners (aspirin, baby aspirin, Plavix, vitamin E, fish oil, omega 3, krill oil, ibuprofen and other anti-inflammatory medications) 2 weeks before the surgery.
Facelifts lift jowls and tighten loose skin on the neck.
We tell patients to expect to need 2 weeks to “hide out”. Although during weeks 3 and 4, patients still have some swelling , this should not keep them in the house and they should be able to be social during that time.
The right time to do a facelift is when the anatomic problem presents itself. In other words, when you notice jowling and sagging skin on the neck. This typically starts from age 50.
You should call the office.
Hello Dominga, I have studied Spanish for several years in the past but I speak very little Spanish. We do have a Fluent Spanish Speaking Patient Coordinator who can interpret for us if you would like. Thank you for your question. Dr. Audrey Farahmand
