I was really surprised by the Museum, many due to poor advertising, but if its open the Museum is well worth the low price of $5 for adults and $2 for children. I was expecting a history museum of hogback mountain, but low and behold this is more of a "Nature Center", with three floors of exhibits including live animals, small activities and the most extensive stuffed bird collection I have ever seen, showcasing rare breeds, birds of prey, and even albino species all well posed.

I absolutely love this place. The view from the deck is breathtaking. Its location is great too! Perfect place to stop and walk around after hours in the car. The shop offers so many souvenirs and clothing items. Lots of Vermont products

Seriously BEST ice cream in the world. Soft serve maple ice cream. How do I bring this home?? (lol). But seriously, a very nice gift shop with museum on lower floor. Remember, support small, locally -run biz. And especially those helping animals!
