I'm new to the area and used to drive all over the state trying to find a record store I felt at home in. Who knew there was one a few miles up the pike? I've stopped in every week since and have always left satisfied and with a new gem for my collection. They have the best selection of new & sealed records I've seen with a steady flow of new releases every week. Their Instagram keeps me up to speed with new arrivals. With classic rock playing in the front, heavy metal in the back, and everything on display in between.....this is what a record store should be.

Literally the best record store. Selection is sick, staff is super knowledgeable, and the owner really cares about his patrons. This is where you go whether you’re an experience collector or a newbie. You’ll always leave happy with a few new (or used) gems.

The owner Chuck is about the chillest most down to Earth guy you could hope to meet! Great selection and has the charm of an elite indie store! 10/10!

Honestly, this review is long overdue. I cannot say more positive things about Sky Valley. As someone who is very young in the record collecting game, Sky Valley and owner Chuck have made going and looking for records such a pleasant and stress free experience. I have found in many cases that many record stores can be overwhelming at points. However, at Sky Valley the selection of records is vast and extremely well organized. As well as this, the owner Chuck is an awesome dude who is super hospitable, and has a wealth of knowledge about music and the selection that he has in stock. He truly cares about music and his customer base which makes the experience of going there extremely enjoyable. Sky Valley Records is an amazing record store, easily one IF not THE best record store in New Jersey. A must go for collectors in the New Jersey and Tri-State area!
