I'm a new member of Foxfire, as of 11/2020. I wasn't quite impressed at first; dated facilities and the course was a little beaten up. However, Arthur Hills course, which is comprised of 27 holes, is truly a gem. While only 6,200 yards from the tips of any combination of nines, it challenges golfers of any level while at the same time being playable and fair for everyone. The greens can run a little fast at times, leading to the "Foxfire five;" and extra five feet of roll out on putts. In January 2021 the membership overwhelmingly passed a $9.5 million upgrade package which will radically alter the facilities and golf course. New fitness facility with expanded equipment, new cart barn, resurfaced tennis courts with enhanced seating and shade, 3 new bocce ball courts, expanded kitchen, vastly enlarged patio seating, new halfway house, and complete overall of the irrigation system on the course, along with a change in the grass (moving to a Bimini hybrid). It's a wonderful gated community with an active membership and upgrades on the way. Great course lay out, and facilities will soon match. UPDATE:. The course renovation is marvelous. Hidden gem in E Naples. New clay tennis courts and 3 new bocce ball courts are top notch. Greens are some of the better and more difficult in Naples.
