The ophthalmologist has taken such great care of our maltipoo Allie. They are all such a sweet caring staff, which is such a wonderful feeling when you take your furbabies to them for care. I would highly recommend this place to anyone for their pets needs.

The office in Sarasota was terrible, our cat got hit by a car and they made us wait for around 2 hours while all these other people went ahead of us with minor issues. Also, the people working there showed little or no concern for the situation, guess it’s just like everywhere else in this town, it’s the size of your wallet that counts. Go to Nina’s on Fruitville road, much better place.

My heart is heavy as I write this as I have lost my best friend. The experience with Blue Pearl Sarasota made it far more traumatic. The vet led me to believe my sweet dog could be saved and required a $2500 charge from my CC to give the care before they would take him. When they called to tell me he was dying an hour later and he had to be put down, they only refunded me $600 of the $2500 charge. I told the vet multiple times that I did not have the money and to please give me an honest evaluation in the very beginning, and her evaluation was that they could save him. I believe she was not honest and that I was being led on for financial gain. Now I suffer with both the loss of my best friend, and financially with debt that I will now struggle to pay and will remind me what a cruel world we live in where places like this can take advantage. This post was written with only the intent to not put anyone else in the situation I have had to suffer, please be aware. Edit: a man called from the location who saw this review and wanted to know more. It was a rehash, and brought back the trauma of it all only for him to tell me that the cost was justified and leave me once again in tears. Initially I thought he was trying to apologize, but then a review from the parent company came the VERY next day. It was obvious damage control in search of a better review. GIVEN A CHOICE PLEASE TAKE YOUR LOVED PET ELSEWHERE- BEWARE

We were sent here from urgent care and told to get our dog over here for evaluation. I Sat in my car for 15minutes and tried to call with no answer. After waiting I walked in and asked if I could bring my dog in and the receptionist made a hand gesture that I assumed meant I could come in so I brought my dog in. The receptionist proceeded to berate me for “not following instructions” and said “it doesn’t look like your dog is not breathing or is bleeding out”. I attempted to explain what was happening but I was met with rude “oh my god, no way” so I left… I’ll take my business elsewhere!
