Bookhaven is, hands down, the best used bookstore in Philadelphia. We discovered it a few years ago just trying to check out all of the major bookstores in the city and it has never failed to impress. The selection is great, and frequently rotating. I find something new almost every time I come by, and at a great price. (Hint: many people never seem to make it upstairs, but there are plenty more sections up the stairs in the back). The owners and employees are great people who make you feel welcome, no matter how long your browsing extends. I look forward to seeing them on each excursion. Ultimately, if you're looking for used books in Philadelphia, Bookhaven is a must see!

Best selection of books I've ever seen in a used bookstore, not sure how they manage that. Friendly staff, homey atmosphere, and bookstore cats, everything you could ever want.

I don't think I have ever seen DVDs for sale there, so I doubt it. Only books.

The do in fact buy children's books. However, they are fairly picky with their selections. The books have to be in very good condition and able to sell.

Yes, they do. No textbooks. And you get a better deal if you trade. But you can get cash.
