I originally set up services with a large company, mistakenly thinking this would give me more peace of mind with a bigger employee pool in case of illness, etc. We ended up getting ALOT of different caregivers, not always good when your loved one is struggling somewhat with memory issues. We signed on with Abby services, and I couldn’t be happier with how they met our needs. Caregiving is not an easy job, but I always felt that our caregivers (and Carol in particular) were so compassionate and called to do what they were doing. All of my concerns were quickly addressed whenever they arose. This is one of the most important decisions you can make at a very stressful time in your life. I feel confident in recommending this company to anyone. Your loved ones will be in good hands.

Abby Services is available 24/7 to help clients seeking an in-home caregiver. However, we are best suited to assist you during office hours. Our experience in this industry, & an extensive pool of caregivers, allows us to find the help you need with little notice. We have been succesful in referring caregivers with as little as a 1 hour notice. We do reccommend 24 hours advance notice during the work week when requesting a caregiver. This allows us to find you the best caregiver we have, not the first caregiver we can find.
At Abby Services we work hard to connect local seniors with excellent in-home caregivers. We realize consistency is very important for clients, their families, and for the caregovers we work with. We have the experience to know that guranteeing the same caregiver is dangerous. There are so many things that can happen. Abby Services works exclusively with HHA's (home health aides) and CNA's who we collectively refer to as caregivers or in-home caregivers. Their goal is to provide assistance to clients in their homes in order to help them live independently and safely at home. In-home caregivers can assist clients in their homes with many tasks required to remain indepnedent including: bathing, dressing, light housekeeping, meal preperation, ambulation, toileting, accompanying to appointments, pet care, personal care. It is easier to say what an in-home caregiver can't do. These tasks involve a higher licensure such as an RN. Caregivers can not administer medications, insert a catheter, complete wound care, and other tasks above their licensure.
