Holy Family Cathedral

Yesterday, we made the time to go to Mass, did a quick Google search and saw that holy family Cathedral was half a block away. Bonus points, it was only 5 o’clock and there was a 6 o’clock mass. We made our trek over to the Cathedral, looked around a little bit, then took our seat and enjoyed mass. The lady that did the first and second readings I had a great voice and annunciated each word. The priest prepared and delivered a lovely homily. We were happy to partake in the Eucharist, and enjoyed the fellowship at this lovely Cathedral. Afterwards, we stopped by to chitchat with the priest, and thank him for the wonderful service. I recommend if you are in town, whether Catholic or not, take the time to visit the church.

I just moved recently and am looking for a new church. Attended this one, and wow, never again. The congregants there are absolutely awful, stuck up old white people. I’ve never encountered such unpleasant human beings, at a church no less. It’s embarrassing, we’re supposed to love thy neighbor but these people obviously don’t have a solid grasp on what being Christian means. I highly recommend you go elsewhere unless you want to deal with a bunch of Karens, basically.

The church is very plain but the weekday Mass I attended was beautiful and very reverent. I saw many people kneeling and taking Holy Communion on the tongue. The altars servers were boys and the priest gave a meaningful homily.
