Don't give any credence to any review clearly expecting Americanized Mexican. This place is obviously by Mexicans for Mexicans. It may not be your taste, that's ok, it's not for you. That being said. In comparison to other Mexican for Mexicans restaurants, this one is ok. It's the only authentic place I know of in southern IL, so I. Happy to have it close by.

This place has some amazing authentic mexican food.

This quaint little 'eat outside/walk-up' has the VERY BEST authentic Mexican tacos. The best I've ever had!! They aren't made like a taco as we've come to know. They are sliced beef, freshed chopped onion, cilantro and served with lime on the side. I highly recommend squeezing the lime juice on too!
