I just got back from camping, and, having eaten MREs all week I can honestly say they had more flavor than my chicken alfredo. The noodles/alfredo tasted like glutinous mush. The chicken was dry, rubbery and flavorless. The "garlic bread" was closer to oily, unseasoned, partially-burnt croutons. Not even sure they put garlic in it it. Yes, as others have mentioned, the atmosphere is fantastic. I loved sitting on the balcony watching people putt below, and the live music was great. But while a good atmosphere can compliment a dining experience, it shouldn't be a replacement for one.
