I was completely happy with my stay at Highlands Regional Medical Center as well as thoroughly impressed. Although I know the hospital was quite busy, I was made to feel as if I was the most important patient in the world. All doctors and nurses were highly attentive and responsive as well as always kind and caring. An additional surprise was how very quiet my room was. I could not hear any of the typical hospital noises beyond the door of my room. I was also very surprised to have an entire, large, and lovely room to myself. I am so very glad I chose Highlands Regional Medical Center and realize how extremely fortunate we are in this small county to have access to a topnotch facility. A huge thank you to all!

This hospital is my go to for absolutely everything! The level of care provided by all staff members is second to none. From PAS to the ED. Everyone always has the right attitude and more than willing to go above and beyond for all visitors and patients.

In the emergency room when doctor requested I stay overnight for observation the admission rep tried to have me decide to go home telling me her opinion based on looking over chart suggest I don't need to be there. She was extremly rude and made me feel so uncomfortable. Even though I did stay and moved to a room the nurses seemed nice but heard them constantly complaining about the patients and even mimicking the patients. I was so uncomfortable and afraid to ask for assistance. Several times I was told I could have water and ice but as the nurse or assistant would tell me they were bringing it I did not receive any. My cup sat empty. I was to have a CT scan of my heart but the machine was broken and they wanted to stay another night in hopes it would be fixed the next day. I am sorry to say that I released myself from the hospital. It was the worst experience in a hospital I have ever received.

Sha'Ron did my pre-op blood work. Sha'Ron gave a good stick, so good, I didn't even feel the needle being inserted. Great phlebotomist!

Hope you go, no insurance they can also make arrangements. X-rays usually $150-200.

Is good medical center with programas
This hospital no longer has an labor and delivery wing. The only hospital in our county that does, is Advent Health Sebring.

No they don't have an NICU they don't even have a maternity or delivery Ward anymore the only place in Highlands County to deliver is Florida Hospital
