Today is July 12th and I have been sitting in the emergency room over one hour, no call. Only vitals have been taken. Few people were here when I arrived and no one who has c ome after me has seen a doctor. Imagine their wait. This totally unacceptable. No one should come to an emergency room and sit for 2 hours in the waiting room before being seen by a doctor. No excuse

Came into the ER with my 9m old son around 8:30pm. We sat in the waiting room with others who have all been waiting since 2-3pm.. many people walked out while waiting because they had been there for so long without being seen. If you have a real life or death emergency DO NOT COME HERE!! This establishment is a JOKE. We waited for nearly 4 hours.

I have been to this location several times and just recently met with the same doctor from a previous visit. I received excellent care and all of the staff members were knowledgeable and very professional. I really am thankful that we have a newer facility closer to home that offers a wide variety of patient services. Normally, the wait times are fast and simple! You are required to wear face mask 😷 and they do require for you to have your temperature taken. I noticed they have a birthing center, which I'm very interested to learn more about! If you need a great surgeon Dr. Zheng is the best!! Thanks again to all the staff!!

Suspect care. Be careful. Though it's not a particularly busy hospital, wait times are extreme and patient care is disappointing at best. Anything other than very simple cases are better served by travelling to Richmond or Raleigh. I wish I could say that at least their triage capabilities are adequate, but I cannot. We've had too many experiences with our elderly family members over the past few years where issues have been misdiagnosed or not diagnosed at all, requiring us to pursue medical care at Duke in Raleigh - 1.5 hours away. Our bad experiences have been validated by other doctors and medical personnel who are outside of the VCU Health system. For us, depending on VCU Health at South Hill has been a considerable risk.

The dental school Richmond at the hospital. There is a dental office in the CARE Building at the hospital here, in South Hill.
There was something going on in a particular dept., like the ER, where security was needed, and the lock down is no one can enter and no one can leave until the security has determined the threat to be clear.

At this time we only have an ENT. We do not have an allergist that I know of.
Yes they have a pulmonologist...Dr. Shivaram, she is a great doctor, knows her stuff and is very compassionate and cares about her patients.
Same here. I was there for 3 hours and the only person that seemed to be concerned about my long wait was the cleaning lady.
