Bumped into Omar Apollo at Amara Cafe making it a 10/10 experience already. Amara Cafe is the perfect place to go to for breakfast/brunch. We ordered the Orinoco and Signature Asado arepas and they were both delicious. They were filled with so much meat and cheese. I've never had arepas before but Amara have set the bar incredibly high. We also got their signature Venezuelan hot chocolate and it was so thick and rich. Definitely planning to go here again to try the other items on their menu.

I had been wanting to come here for a while and I’m so glad I tried it! They have a kiosk and cash register for ordering food so it’s a quick process which is great. The people who work her are SO friendly and attentive. The manager or owner pulled my fiancé and I aside to help us order and give us recommendations. He made sure to add some special touches to our drinks so they were perfect. The Mexican chocolate coffee was stronger than we expected, so we were happy they added some whipped cream to sweeten it up. You can tell they use quality cacao. We tried the Cuban sandwich and steak sandwich and they were wonderful! So flavorful and well made! We were too full to order the churros and chocolate-so we will definitely go back to try that! They look amazing. I also want to come back and try the empanadas. I recommend stopping by for a lovely lunch with some great coffee and lunch options! They have indoor and outdoor dining. My father is South American and my family are wonderful cooks, so I really appreciated finding a place that makes quality Latin food.

I’ve been going to this place for many years and Amara continues to serve delicious crispy churros, savory empanadas and addictive hot drinks. Their menu has expanded and their hours extended to feed the locals and their neighbors. Kudos to the restaurant’s namesake owner!

Best quality drinking chocolate in my lifetime. Rich, not overly sweet or heavy. No food come after. Amara and her husband are gems and often working hard there themselves. Staff is thoughtful and remembers you. More seating outside now, this place is always busy, but fast. Try the slightly spicy mocha drinks hot or cold and you'll be hooked. Don't get me started on the Venezuelan food, simple and highest quality ingredients, just order a plate at a time with a friend from the top of the menu down (huge portions!) and try it all.
