Forced 20% gratuity charge on take out. I think that’s ridiculous. Love the sushi, but will go elsewhere until they stop adding this fee to takeout. Would be five stars. Favorite sushi in Santa Cruz.

Try the salmon baker. Good selection if 'specialties' and good sized portions. Removing 2 stars as they now force a 20% gratuity on take out - I'd much prefer a company just pays their staff a fair wage and charging a little more instead of adding a forced gratuity regardless of service offered.

Raised prices a lot!!! And the portions seemed a little smaller for a while but now seem more like they used to be... Just more expensive. Service is always good though!

they sell both vegan and not vegetarian miso, so just remember to order the one you want. or tell the waiter that you eat vegan

There is a service window with plexiglass. Hand sanitizer is available to customers. It is recommended that you order ahead and use electronic or card payment to minimize contact. It is one of my preferred take out restaurants during this time.
Yes, we go with our dog all the time. Just send someone to the front and tell them you have a dog, and have the dog go around to the back where the patio is.
