Itβs was very nice and peaceful place. Really like larger reservoir scenic view. It was on the way while we weβre completing our trip from SFO to LA. Will suggest to take break to have a look.

It's gots it's up and down incline if you're not used to it or your a beginner I would walk around the camp ground . Don't forget it's rattlesnake season haven't seen one yet but they are there
As far as I know it is open everyday. For camping it is 2st come 1st served no reservations.
Yes but there is only a few spots and you have to be there early morning to see if your able to get one. I was there last weekend and we were lucky to get two cabanas but we had to be there very early morning

Lele trout and bass I go fishing for Trout but there is a lot of bass there too. Every time I've been there water level has always been about the same
