I had an outstanding experience with Rose Hills Mortuary. I am an only child who unfortunately had to bury her parents. It was a lot of work, but my counselor Brian & my funeral director made everything simple & efficient. Brian, my counselor always responded to my questions immediately. This was important because it allowed me to be present at my parent's services vs having to do things myself and stress. Everything went off without a hitch. I received so many compliments from family & friends about how beautiful everything was.

They do not respond to phone calls or e-mails and is taking over 9 months to complete an additional to grave marker. Edit 9/10/22: Mona Acevedo has promised a completion date of 9/9/2022. I received a letter in the mailbox stating that the marker is finally ready for viewing. I stopped by today (9/10/22) and the marker looks untouched. They keep making empty promises that they cannot keep.

Six years ago, I had two services done for my father. The person who was in charge of organizing those services was excellent. He even came to my house and was in constant communication with me. I never felt alone and knew that I was being heard. The host who lead the services was very professional and did an excellent job. We were really impressed and satisfied with the service that some members of my family decided to buy a lot and pay services for themselves. One month ago, my mom passed and we did those same services for her. However, this time, the person in charge didn't even respond to my text messages and never heard from her. The hosts didn't even speak Spanish and didn't take the lead in our services. We had to organized everything and give directions during the ceremony. It seems like the services provided by this mortuary is declining and they need to get a better staff who can keep up with the good service they use to provide.

If I could rate rose hills in Whittier a 0 stars I would! Me and my family have had the worst experience here with the staff, Especially Kevin, He is extremely unprofessional! And the 1 secretary in the office just sitting there was very unprofessional, the secretary was just staring at me and my family like if we were being judged by them as if we were doing something wrong when we weren’t, or if it was because my father was in a wheelchair. We were waiting on Kevin to talk to him about our property that we solely own and needed to sign our part there of a document and Kevin was stalling time until someone from our far away family member came whom Had nothing to do with why we went there about our property and of what needed to be done. He called that person behind our backs, we did not ask him to call that person about anything but again he did it without our knowledge and consent! Never did he once communicate this with us which was a HUGE error on his part. As soon as that family member arrived he then called us in, like why? So Kevin made a decision solely without us and didn’t even take the time to talk to us privately without that other person he called being there. We had personal questions to ask him about our property that we own and couldn’t even ask this due to the fact that he called the other person in with us. We felt very ignored, judged, unheard and unwanted. This Rose hills staff seems like they do whatever they want to do without asking for permission first. I personally feel no one truly cared to help us. We have never had this type of feeling like this towards rose hills until now. Rose hills you need better new staff, or you need to properly train your employees on how to treat people; to have better customer service, and have people that genuinely care and want to actually HELP people. Please properly train your secretaries as well to not keep staring and making people feel uncomfortable that are waiting in the lobby.

There are a number of variables to answer that question. Do you want to be in a niche or a grave? Single or double? If a niche, do you want to be in an enclosed one or a glass-front one? And there is a huge range of prices, depending on convenience and location. It is time for you to go shopping.
No set hours, park visiting hours are from sunrise to sunset. So it varies throughout the year when the park closes and opens....
Chapels Rainbow Chapel, built in 1942 as "Rose Chapel", is an example of early California Mission architecture. This chapel features large windows overlooking gardens and has a maximum seating capacity of 90 people. Hillside Chapel, built in 1956, is a contemporary diamond-shaped structure surrounded by a garden area. The interior was created for an effect of a sunrise through its rose-tinted skylight and 22-foot (6.7 m)-high windows. Hillside Chapel seats up to 182 people. This building is said to have perfect acoustics. Sky Church, also completed in 1956, was destroyed by the Whittier earthquake of 1987. Memorial Chapel has three tall, white spires. It was completed in 1964 as a memorial to John D. Gregg, President of Rose Hills from 1950–1959 and son of Rose Hills founder Augustus Gregg. Memorial Chapel seats approximately 192 people. SkyRose Chapel is on a central hilltop with a view of the San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles Skylines to the West and Sycamore Valleyto the East. Sk
Not according to their list of events - http://www.rosehills.com/en-us/events/index.page?stop_mobi=yes
Rose Hills will buy interment rights back for approximately what they were purchased for. If you want to sell them for more, you will need to either do it yourself or go through a cemetery broker such as Barry Rosson.
I don't know of a The Hat pastrami store near here. The closest one I can think of is Atlantic and I 60 near ELACCcollege. I live in Nevada and am out of the SoCal loop.
How much are you selling them for?, ask in the front office desk
Their office should has all the records. Go ask for help and give them her name. They are very helpful and will find out for you.
YES, just remember they do clean up a week except for special holiday
Flower removal days should be normal rotation days by lawn. They might wait a few days for lawns immediately in the rotation. Try calling.
Don't know if you still need the info but it's off of Workman Mill Road half a mile north of Beverly Boulevard
It's in viewing building, right handside when drive in to the entrance gate #1.

Just call the information booth in the front cuz it depends on what area the person is buried in
A man with a gun
Definitely after Easter,so that the beautiful decor may stay with your loved one even longer 😊😃
Yes, everyday Sun Rise to Sunset
Hello, I'm so sorry for your loss. It depends where your loved one is buried, on a niche wall or on the ground. If on the ground, you can bring a flower bouquet or a plant. The niche walls may have a small flower vase where you can put real or silk flowers. You can also check the website rosehills.com for the flower removal schedule for the lawns. I hope this helps! :)
Nothing for you. The buyer must pay
I don't know. You would have to call the cemetary.
Yes you may but before you do I recommend asking for a brochure at the office on what days they throw away decorations. But if you it is in tierra del sol or Cielo don't do it they have put up signs to remove all decorations for the fact that it is overcrowded and they have been having alot of burials there so therefore your fence will either be thrown away nor a tractor is gonna run over it. Oh and they are trying to revive the grass there as well.
I thought they work in gravesites but outside they do!. Service can be sketchy depending where you are!
I believe they remove them by January 3-4...
I don't know. I don't work at Rose Hills. I have attended several funeral services there. But flowered usually look good so live flowers are most likely removed within a week. Silk flowers may stay longer.
Yes

Yes. It's reopened for visits.
We went on Sunday and we already decorated, there were other people decorating too.
Please dig through the GMaps Q&A, I've answered this question over 5 times there with precise details. Basically you go to rosehills.com , click on menu (3 bars) scroll down to internments, click on. U will be asked to enter last and first names. Make sure indicator dot is blue, should give you a map to the precise location. May have forgotten a step. U can always go to the office on right passed main gate, they can help you there. Also, if it turns out they're not at RH you can try gravefinder.com. Good luck.
They close at sunset. All days.
They do flower removal weekly it all depends on the lawn that she's in. Main entrance to reflection it's on Friday, from Sequoia to lupine is on Tuesday, from carnation to SkyRose Chapel is on Wednesday and from SkyRose all the way down is on Thursday.
Go to RoseHills.com, click on "Service and Grave Finder" and put their name, last name first in "Search for Obituaries and Grave Locations". Make sure the "Grave and Interment Locations" dot is blue. If you're going to the cemetery, park inside the main entrance go into the building on the right and the people at the desk will help you. God Bless. Next time please check the q&a as this question has been answered several times there already.
What Goodly Earth said. Additionally, you may consider consulting a private broker, but watch the fees. If your smart about it, you may be able to get more than what RH might offer you for them. Good luck.
There is alot of people that would like to buy them. I say go directly to the cemetary inf, find out the cost, because I am pretty sure you got them cheaper back then, then the actual price they are worth right know!😊 and they might have a buyer on a list..😉
Of course. Gravesites are not something that usually relocates....
There are a cluster of motels in So. El Monte at Peck Rd. and I-60, including a Motel 6. About 2 miles from main gate of RH. Don't live in So.Cal anymore, so I'm not current w/ that. I would avoid motels on Beverly and Whittier Blvds in Pico Rivera for safety issues. Also nearby are Montebello, Whittier (city), and City of Industry. Try a travel site with those as reference points. God Bless.
How should I know? To find out u can; Go to RoseHills.com, select menu (3 horizontal lines) click on "Service and Grave Finder" and put their name, last name first in "Search for Obituaries and Grave Locations". Make sure the "Grave and Interment Locations" dot is blue. If you're going to the cemetery, park inside the main entrance go into the building on the right and the people at the desk will help you. If it turns out they're not at Rose Hills, try: www.gravefinder.com Good luck and God Bless.
On the main Gate entrance there a sign that says information its on your left side. When you tell them the Name, Last Name, or any info you could provide, they will give you a Map with details on how to find your love one's Grave.
Easter decorations... placement begins Friday Apr 19 @ 3 pm and removal begins Tuesday Apr 30 @ 6 am.
On The Lawn Mariposa Terrace, The removal is on Wednesday so they could clean on Thursday Morning. That's when they cut the grass. But only for "Mariposa Terrace"
You have to speak to someone in the interment office.
IM not sure you can ask in main office, and they will be able to explain with detail.
December 14 and have to be remove before January 8 so your items dont get disposed of.
SOrry for your loss, & God bless your family
Dec 5
Call the office. GMaps is not appropriate forum. Do you really want your loved one's final resting place in the open online?
You have to ask them directly since they have their own company that provides them. But Hopefully they permit it. Call them..it might be cheaper on your end.
you would have to call rosehills to found out.
Additionally, there are a few roadside flower vendors approaching the cemetary.
Yes! It's a little mission to find him..but search for Easy E grave yard.and they give you the exact location. Lupine lawn lot2482 lot 1. His under Erick Wright..💙
You should call and ask,?
Call and ask, or go to the information desk.
Yes
Depends on the garden/lawn.
Heading north on Workman Mill Road from Beverly it will be the first gate on your left.
They tend to favor some areas over others. Complain to the front office and don't let up till they fix it.
Call an agent. Properties vary greatly in price, by lawn. They were cheaper for us because we bought 4 adjoining plots.
You can advertise it yourself or you can look up a cemetery broker to sell it for you. It would be a good idea to call the cemetery and find out what that particular lawn or crypt/niche area is selling for right now.
Flowers removed by assigned day for whichever lawn in a rotation. You can call to find out specifically, but you need to know lawn name.
Every lawn is different (rotating). If you know which lawn, you can call them. God Bless!
Call them and ask that question?
Who? Not actually in LA here. They'll probably need a Lawn name and plot # to help y'all.
Helluva question to ask the public. Screw "I know where you live." " I know where your buried."😲
