I think it is open from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, $3, in the summer 760 367-5777.
The park is very friendly yes, there are many things to do for children of all ages oncluding parks, skate parks, and basketball hoops. You could go there to hang out with a friend or host a party and just go there to have fun and meet new people.
