First of all, I would like to say that I have been shopping at this Ralph's for a very long time. It's always been a pleasant experience. Today, however Nathan, Starbucks worker, was very rude. When I walked I walked in Nathan literally interrogated me regarding my service animal. As if I did not see the clear sign in the front. I am very aware of service animal policies and my dog is trained and certified. I asked Nathan if he wanted to see it, he said no but continued to expressed to me that he did not want my dog in the store barking or disturbing other customers. How Rude! I could not believe what I was hearing and experiencing. I immediately asked a clerk… I think her name is Crystal (super sweet), to speak to the site Director, Steve. Crystal and Steve were great! Steve said he even agreed with me. That Nathan's encounter was totally uncalled for. I am very disappointed. I will be calling corporate first thing in the morning to inform them on my encounter. It is a shame that Nathan is not aware of the service animal policy and the questions and communication that are permitted when approaching a service animal. Luckily Steve was aware of the situation and said he would speak with Nathan who, must I say identified himself as a manager, and turned out not to be a manager!! Weird and disturbing!! Anyway have a blessed day overall this Ralph is very friendly clean and has fresh produce, I love the location by the Marina! I can't wait for the LA fitness gym to open right next-door this is going to be a true incentive!

My girlfriend and I went grocery shopping on 3/27 around 6pm. When we went to check out we got into Zully’s line. As she’s ringing up the groceries she’s telling an associate in a very rude and condescending tone that she hopes he’s not picking up his paycheck while he’s on the clock. It was just so rude and inappropriate and not a conversation you should be having in front of customers. I then handed our grocery bags to a young man. He proceeds to begin bagging the groceries, Zully finishes ringing up and my girlfriend pays. The groceries didn’t fit in the bags so the young man was going to give us the extra bag we needed. Zully then gives him a dirty look and turns to us and says you should have told me you needed an extra bag. I offered to pay the 10 cents for the extra bag but I only had a $100 bill. The guy behind us felt so bad that he told the cashier to just charge him the 10 cents for our extra bag. We were just so bothered by this cashiers lack of courtesy that my girlfriend just told the young man to give her the groceries without the bag and that we would figure it out! Zully is just rude and unprofessional and should not be working with the public!!!
