I can recall as far back as 1970 my dad taking me to the local Thrifty's drugstore located in the El Monte mall to get a scoop of my favorite ice cream. A lot has changed since then but One Thing Remains the Same it's the great Taste of Thrifty's Ice Cream. My childhood favorite flavors where rainbow sherbet, cherry vanilla, chocolate chip, and rocky road. If you are new to California I highly recommend you go straight to Rite-Aid and purchase a scoop of any one of the many great flavors the Thrifty's Ice Cream company has developed over the years.

Is this place open to the public??? Can i just walk in and buy a tub of ice cream.?? Or where in El monte can i go buy an ice cream cone,??

That's the production plant and not open to the public. Any Rite Aid store in the area sells the ice cream.
