We enjoyed lunch at Obu Ramen while driving through San Jose recently with our dog. Luckily, they have a shaded, outdoor patio that's dog-friendly. We ordered the Obu Chicken Ramen and had to pay extra for corn. It was good, but it would have been better if it had been served hot. Instead, it was barely warm. Oh well, at least the prices weren't bad. I wanted to give them four stars, but their service wasn't great. Sure they seated us and brought our ramen to us, but they really didn't show much enthusiasm for their jobs or our visit. I'd excuse it had they been busy, but there weren't many customers besides us.

The service was not great due to staff issues. 😕 The ramen wasn't bad but when your dinning out its a whole experience that just gets tainted by the service.

Like the ramen they serve here. The soup is thick with broth and creamy, lots of garnish. The taste is good..they also serve other Japanese food beside ramen.

The price was good, especially since you get around the same ramen at another restaurant for $5+. The tonkotsu was good, well salted, tender pork, creamy broth. Wished the spicy tonkotsu was a little spicier. They should give a little cup …
