Very nice park. I'm a member of a local SCA group; we held a feast in the park. The parking lot is a decent size and the restrooms were just across the parking lot from our area. It was a good venue.

Do you have to reserve a part for parties if you're not going to use the electric and do they have nice bathroom?

No, you don't have to but if someone else does your out of luck. The bathroom are okay.

Does anyone know why Madera Park is called that? I grew up playing baseball and tennis there and just wondered.

Not sure, but Madera means wood in Spanish, so I imagine all the oak trees lead to the name.
