Thank you Wind Youth Services for excellent resources and extraordinary staff! I joined their program called Workshop Innovation Opportunity Act a year ago and have begun a successful path ever since.

What an incredible group of people! I called in to inquire about volunteer opportunities and donating items to the center. Laura answered the phone and was so knowledgeable and kind! I could easily hear and feel the passion in her voice for what she does everyday! Im sincerely looking forward to volunteering this holiday season! To Laura and the entire staff at Wind, thank you so very much for showing up! For selflessly doing a sometimes thankless job out of the goodness of your hearts! Your impact is very real and you inspire me. Thank you!

Depending upon what you need they'll be able to help you. Sometimes they cant help at all.. I would say go and see what they have to offer.

I had this lady named Mama T to help me out with generating resources for me to use when I left High School. It has since changed into more of a dormant service for those that are still trying to get out of the situation that they're in as well as foster care. I wouldn't consider for the service to be bad but since they have ushered in new people, it is not the same as what it used to be.

Questions & Answers

do you just go there and theyll give you a place to stay

No, you will first go into a 30 day shelter called "Common Grounds" then your case manager will help you move into another program called THP" or "XHS", something like that then you'll be able to get your own housing.. It's DEFINITELY a process..

Do you call our parents to let them know you ran away?

It's mostly up to the person themselves and the independent situation. I can tell from personal experience, that wind will do what it can to respect the person's decision.

What ages do you accept and do you have to pay rent or is there a rule in the housing? Because I am trying to find a place for a friend
