I am looking somewhere else for lessons for my daughter. We liked Destiny, the trainer, but the communication and professionalism that I expected from this business was lacking from the owner, and it took forever to hear back from her when showing interest in getting lessons.

Hillside is a wonderful place for my 5yr old daughter. She has loved horses since she could talk. We obviously needed to pursue her love for horses. Now that she is able to take lessons, she is Killin it! The trainer Audrey, is so kind hearted and patient. She knows exactly how to keep my daughter engaged and is amazing. I would highly recommend Hillside stables to anyone wanting to learn or start their horsey bonding❤️🐎

I took my special needs son for a private riding session for his 5th birthday and he had the best time. Everything was very professional and I felt like he was overall very well taken care of. Not many places will accept special needs and there's not many places I can take him but he's always loved horses and going on pony rides so it meant the world to me and my son that they took him on. He had the best birthday! I would definitely recommend this business!

I purchased two 10-lesson packs at $600 each back in early August. I asked before I purchased them if they would have room to accommodate lessons for my daughters, and they said "yes, of course! It will just be a couple of weeks." I kept checking in, and each time there was another excuse why it would be another couple of weeks. I would have appreciated honesty upfront that they were overwhelmed, because my daughter has been asking for 2.5 months now when her lessons will start, and was very patient and understanding about my vague answer, since I only had a vague answer. I now need to go through the process of getting refunds for my purchases, and am very upset about the lack of professionalism and lack of communication. They could have just told me to go to another stable from the very first, but I feel they wanted to shore up their "guaranteed" business and so overextended themselves.

Hello Cierra, My apologies for taking so long to get back to you on this. My messenger did not notify me that I had a message and when I tried to log in it said I had the wrong password. So I found this on my computer thank goodness! So first of all do you remember what style of riding you rode before? Most people its Western saddle, but for some it is English Saddle. We teach in the english saddle but that's a good thing because in order to truly learn to ride and hang on correctly, you need to learn in this saddle style. How old were you when you rode last? And was it just on trails or with a friend's horse or actual lessons or a summer camp? There is a weight limit of 170 pounds to ride in the english saddle as it doesn't spread the riders weight all around the horses' back like a western saddle does. So if you meet that qualification we can give you lessons! We teach Mondays through Fridays between 9am and 6pm currently. We have limited openings. Pls Call 916-712-1667 info

does it provide a horse for you to ride?

Yes. You can pay for just a 30 min lesson or a 1 hour groom and ride lesson. You learn to groom the horse, tack the horse, and then you ride English is currently the only discipline being taught. A horse and helmet are provided for the lesson.

Do you need horses ? I have a real sweet gelding who is easy to catch and would be great for grooming lessons for kids. He's a twelve year old colorless appaloosa quarter horse.
