I personally think it's a nice and quiet place to get your work done or study. The thing is the librarians can be grotesquely impolite and rude. Hearing them make extremely rude comments about others as they walk by is just one issue that needs to be resolved.

Dvd rental is only for 1 week. If you have it for 2 weeks without renewing it, it's overdue already. So the computer system blocks you from renewing online. You need to call the library to see your options.
You can fill it out online: From the library wellsite: How to Get a Library Card To get a library card, fill out an application and bring it to a County Library along with a valid ID. Library cards are valid for three years and can be renewed by calling or visiting a County Library. You can find the application in the website by clicking on GET A LIBRARY CARD on the bottom of the library homepage.
